Track your diet and maintain a healthy life with the Food Diary app

Calorie counting apps and thorough logging of your food are in abundance. On the other hand, if you want to make a more holistic follow up of your diet, your options are much more limited especially if you are looking for a Portuguese option. For these and others, it is worth taking a look at the Food Diary.

Developer Zurpei's app has a very minimalist approach to logging your meals – it doesn't have to weigh the amount of food you eat nor calculate the calories in each portion of your plate. It is enough for each meal to record in the Diary whether the quality of your dish / snack was poor, average or optimal.

And how do you define this classification anyway? Now, simply combine your knowledge of the need for your own body (and your diet, if any) with a simple conversation with a nutritionist or specialist in the area. The idea here is not to do something strictly scientific, but to give you an overview of your eating patterns, and from there, encourage you to choose healthier options when you realize that you are exaggerating in recent days, for example.

In the calendar view, the Food Directorate shows the average of its “performance” each day in a month, displaying at the bottom of the screen a general average of that period. If you get a positive result, you can share it with all your friends.

The Food Directory is available for free on the App Store and can be a great option for those who need to adjust their food. It is worth checking!
