Tip: Adding birthdays to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch calendar

Since the launch of iOS 4.0, the system automatically separates birthdays on the calendar, based on the contacts present on the device. But despite being a great facility, many people do not know how to include these dates. How to make?

It is, in fact, the process is quite simple. First, access your Contacts on the device and choose the person you want to add a birthday to. At first you will not find any option to place the special date, but you will see that there is a possibility of Add Field.

Thus, you can add several types of new fields, such as nickname, position in the company, notes and birthday.

Thereafter, the date will be included immediately Calendar device, if you have the Birthdays option enabled.


If you want your iPhone, iPod or iPad to notify you on your birthday, set this up at Settings> Mail, Contacts, Calendars> Standard Alerts> Birthdays.
