Tim Cook opens Mac lab and inspires women in India

News of the Apple team's activities over ndia do not stop appearing. Indian communications vehicles are in turmoil with the presence of a very large technology company.

In addition to business meetings, the “tour” of Tim Cook already included a visit to a temple in Mumbai, a dinner specially arranged for him by the most famous Bollywood actor, Shah Rukh Khan, and even a trip to a game of cricket sport very famous for l.

Putting aside social events, yesterday was an inspiring day for students from G. Narayanamma Institute of Technology and Science for Women (G. Narayanamma Institute of Technology and Science for Women, or GNITS), located in Hyderabad. This is because the Apple CEO was present at the site to inaugurate a Mac Lab and didn’t stop tweeting about it.

Lots of talent and enthusiasm at the new Mac Lab at the GNITS Women's College. I really enjoyed visiting them yesterday.

The unit was chosen as a “center for excellence” (center for excelence) the first in India and the third in the world and 33 Macs were donated, in addition to a 65 inch television. At the disposal of the students will be Apple experts in application development, to train them to improve their practical knowledge on Mac and iOS systems. According to the The Hindu, Cook interacted extensively with the girls, explaining about the revolution that Apple brought to smartphones, and encouraged them by saying that he would be very happy to see them working for the company. When asked how Ma would be encouraging younger minds, he recommended them to: 1) "think differently"; 2) “have a lot of integrity”; 3) “communicate effectively”; 4) “working in a group leaving aside the ego” and 5) “being open to proposing and understanding new ideas”.

Meanwhile, anyone who is being inspired by the country to be Apple’s vice president of environmental, political and social initiatives, Lisa Jackson.

Powerful: visiting the wonderful solar breasts in Rajasto and visiting a school that uses iPads to teach @BarefootCollege

According to Yahoo India, The Bare Foot College trains women to manufacture solar lamps, so call it “Solar Mamas”. The school cited by Lisa has already received 20 iPads and 10 Macs from Apple to help with education.

These initiatives seem small and basic, but I do not doubt their potential to change both the lives of those who visited the country and those who were visited.

Of projects saved for India, two have already been announced: the Design and Development Accelerator for iOS and the office for map development. As the journey is not over yet, we hope to see more news coming through.

Tim, come here too! I never asked you for anything
