Tim Cook donates $ 6.5 million in shares to charity

In a document registered this week at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Apple revealed that Tim Cook “Withdrew” 50,000 of its shares from the company to donate to one or more unidentified charities.

Considering the current value of NASDAQ: AAPL (US $ 130.28), the donation exceeds US $ 6.5 million (more than R $ 20 million).

At least on this occasion, Cook did not sell any steel for personal use. Who did it was Dan Riccio, senior vice president of hardware engineering at Apple. He sold 24,085 shares, pocketing just over $ 3 million (almost $ 10 million).

Recently, Cook also participated in yet another Charitybuzz auction, which raised $ 200,000 for the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights.
