TikTok is already more used than Instagram, Twitter or Snapchat in the USA. Daily average is 41 minutes

Although TikTok has been facing the US government's scrutiny for some time now, with the possibility of banning it even under the table, its popularity continues to grow in the United States. Cowen's latest data reveals that Americans spend more time on the popular ByteDance app than on Instagram.

In the second quarter of 2020, users spent an average of 41 daily minutes on TikTok. On Instagram, the average daily time was 31 minutes. The data provided by Business Insider indicate that users spent 29 minutes on Twitter and 27 minutes on Snapchat daily. Facebook, on the other hand, remains the app where Internet users spent the most time, totaling 45 minutes a day.

It is recalled that, according to Sensor Tower's most recent analysis, TikTok was the most installed application worldwide during the month of June, registering a total of more than 87 million downloads in both digital stores of Google and Apple.

The consultant indicates that the value represents a growth of 52.7% in relation to June 2019. However, the number is lower than the more than 111.9 million downloads registered in May this year.
