1. Real time translation using camera
Using the new version of Google Translate, you can get real-time translation by just pointing your Android camera at cards, menus, product labels, documents or any page on your browser. This feature has been around for some time, but has been optimized and is closer to what would be the correct translation of the text.
2. Tap to translate – I translate within any app
Have you ever imagined being in a WhatsApp conversation and not being able to understand an English sentence because of one or two words? Well, in Google Translate version 5.0 you can now translate the words shown in any application. The name of this feature Tap to Translate.
You can now translate the words shown in any application.
Once you've enabled the feature in Google's own app and allowed it to be used in any app, just press the text you want to translate and then a Google Translate "bubble" will appear, as we see in the image below. Clicking on it translates the words you want.
This feature is already compatible for any Android device running version 4.2 or higher.
3. I translate in offline mode
The third feature of Google Translator is that you need to know about using the app for offline translations. Now the files have been reduced to new contents about 29MB in size. And yes, this will save a little bit of your internal storage.
To activate offline mode just access the menu and the third option "Offline Translation", as you can see in the screenshots below.
