Last week, more precisely on the 11th, Samsung introduced the Galaxy Z Flip, its new foldable smartphone that delivers a very different design than the Galaxy Fold. This device will arrive in Brazil only on March 11 for R $ 8,999, but the South Korean has already started selling in some markets.
Now that the device has started to be delivered to consumers, the first problem has already been reported, and it involves the ultra-thin glass that makes up the display of the Galaxy Z Flip. In his Twitter account, the user @mondoir he said his unit did not support the first fold. "I received my Samsung Galaxy Z Flip right now. I opened the case, removed the protective plastic. I folded the phone as well as it should and that happened. I heard a crack too. Cold weather?", He described in the post.
Received my Samsung Galaxy Z Flip just now. Opened the box. Removed the protective / instruction film. Flipped the phone as you would do since its a flip phone and this happened. I heard the crack as well. ???? cold weather? #SamsungGalaxy #ZFlip #samsung pic.twitter/j8KLL2vm8d

The publication had repercussions on the social network, and shortly afterwards, Samsung contacted him to request more information, promising that he would analyze the case. Does the cold climate really compromise the flexibility of the glass? We will have to wait for some tests to prove (or not) this theory.
It is worth remembering that, in order to replace the Galaxy Z Flip screen, owners need to pay a considerable amount. On the first exchange, Samsung offers a discount and performs the repair for $ 119 (R $ 522) in the United States. However, when we talk about the second exchange, it will be necessary to spend US $ 499 (R $ 2,193). Those who break the rear window of the device will have to "detach" from $ 99 (R $ 430).
As previously said, the Galaxy Z Flip arrives in Brazil on March 11, so we will need to wait to know the exact amount of repairs here.
