The Origin’ has its first trailer released

'Tomb Raider: A Origem' tem seu primeiro trailer divulgado

Inspired by the latest reboot in Lara Croft’s history, the film features Alicia Vikander in the lead role and hits theaters in 2018

THE Warner Bros. caught the franchise fans tomb Raider by surprise last night: without any great warnings, the production company launched the first trailer of the film to be starring Alicia Vikander, the Oscar-winning actress for best supporting actress for her role in The Danish girl.

In Tomb Raider: The Origin, Lara begins her story with the eponymous game launched in 2013 – at the time, the title marked a reboot in the story of the heroine and, it seems, it is from this plot that the film will take away its main plots.

The sequence Rise of Tomb Raider, launched in 2015, also inspired much of what is seen in the trailer. It is expected that in comparison with the oldest features, those eternalized by the performance of Angelina Jolie like Lara Croft, the new film is much more true to games – even if it doesn’t mean a perfect adaptation.

In an interview given to HitFix, the protagonist confirmed that, just like in the game of 2013, the future film will show Lara on a much more emotional side, exploring fears, weaknesses and, of course, all the resilience of the character.

On the other hand, Vikander also stated that his greatest desire is to do something that remains “by itself”, saying that, despite having strong references linked to the game, the film must bring important news to history as a whole.
