The new version of Android has just been officially released by the Sundar Pichai team, confirming the rumors that Android 7.0 Nougat would arrive in August. Operating system updates will start, of course, with Nexus devices, but this year it seems that we will be getting updates from Google partner manufacturers faster.
According to the official Google Brazil note, which we receive via email, devices enrolled in the Android beta program will also receive this final version. Check out the full list of devices that should receive the Android 7.0 Nougat update starting next week at the link below:
In addition, the Brazilian owners of Nexus 5 have nothing to celebrate, as the update will not officially reach the device, since it has more than 18 months of its release.
What's new in Google's new operating system is native encryption, manually controlling the level of notifications, the ability to respond to messages via the notification bar, a hamburger menu in system settings, and more.
