The new Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus is coming. Asus and Lenovo will be the first to have smartphones with the new chip

Qualcomm has just revealed the first details about the new Snapdragon 865 Plus, whose performance will improve slightly compared to the standard version, presented at the end of last year. Once on the market, this will be the most powerful mobile processor offered by the brand.

In the technical chapter, it is important to highlight the improvements made in the CPU and the GPU of the chip, which will now be able to process and render graphics 10% faster. It is worth noting the presence of the X55 5G Modem-RF System component, which will be responsible for enabling the adoption of technologies with support for 5G. Finally, there are still improvements in WiFi connection capabilities and the promise of speeds of up to 3.6Gbps, thanks to the FastConnect 6900 system.

The new Asus ROG Phone 3 will be the first equipment to feature this Snapdragon 865 Plus. The phone will be detailed by technology next July 22.

Lenovo also has a smartphone in the queue to receive this chip. And although we still do not know which model, the company has already revealed that it is a Legion line device, which has video games as its main focus – to be the first brand in the segment.

The Snapdragon 865 processor is already present in more than 140 smartphone models, so this Plus should not take long to integrate equipment that will reach the market over the next few months.

Although not yet confirmed, the new Samsung Galaxy Note 20 should also be upgraded. The smartphone will be officially announced next August 5th.
