"The Morning Show" wins more nominations, this time for the SAG

“The Morning Show” It may not have been the darling of critics at the time of its debut, but the series that is bringing the most prestige to Apple TV + in that awards season. Last Monday, we highlight here the nominations the production received for two of the most prestigious TV awards, the Critics' Choice Awards it's the Golden Globe; Now, another important award has decided to recognize the series.

I refer to SAG Awards, award granted by the union of actors, journalists, radio personalities and other media professions in the United States. It is a prize focused on the categories of performance and voted precisely by the actors and actresses of the industry, which gives a greater prestige the whole thing.

“The Morning Show” won three nominations at the 2020 edition of the award, two of them in the same category. Steve carell and Billy crudup were both indicated in the category of Best Actor in a Drama Series, and compete with Sterling K. Brown (“This Is Us”), Peter Dinklage ("Game of Thrones") and David Harbor (Stranger Things).

The third indication is Jennifer Aniston, who compete in the category of Best Actress in a Series of Drama. Your competitors will be Olivia Colman and Helena Bonham Carter (both of The Crown), Jodie Eating (Killing Eve) and Elisabeth Moss (“The Handmaid’s Tale”). Reese Witherspoon, who was nominated for a Golden Globe, was out of the nominations here.

The 2020 SAG Awards happen on the day January 19th, a sunday.
