The new drone Autel Evo 2from manufacturer Autel Robotics, has recently had its specifications listed by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). The drone has some impressive features, such as the ability to be foldable and interchangeable gimbal modules that can be exchanged by the user. One has an 8K video camera, the others have either a 1 "sensor 6K video camera or a dual sensor gimbal with an infrared camera and an 8K video camera.

The autonomy of the drone promises a flight time of 35 minutes. Autel Evo 2 supports microSD cards up to 128 GB, and Autel Robotics recommends using a Class 10 or UHS-1 card. Photos taken with the drone can be saved in DNG or JPG formats and the video can be recorded in MOV or MP4 formats.
The three Autel Evo 2 gimbal modules that can be exchanged by the user are: – Gimbal 586: Provides an 8K video camera that takes still photos up to 48MP and records 8K video at 25 fps, 6K video at 30 fps or 4K video at 30 or 60 fps with a bit rate of up to 12m Mbps.
– Gimbal 383: Features a 1-inch Ultra-HD sensor camera for 6K video and up to 20MP still photos. It records video from up to 5.5 K at 60 fps or 4K at 120 fps and has an adjustable lens aperture from f / 2.8 to f / 11.
– Double sensor gimbal: Provides an infrared camera that captures 640 x 512 or 320 x 256 infrared images and records 720p video at 30 fps in dual image mode. It has the same 8K video camera as the Gimbal 586.
