Texas Instruments announces OMAP4 processor tablet for August

In the current computing market, we have seen many companies advertising products to compete with the iPad in consumer preference for tablets, but little has been said about more professional markets. In addition: Texas Instruments announced for August a tablet with a processor dual-core 1GHz OMAP4430, 1GB lpDDR2 RAM, in addition to 32GB eMMC ROM.

Its 10.4-inch LCD screen has XVGA resolution (1024 × 768 pixels) and multi-touch capabilities and the tablet has two USB ports (which can also be used to recharge your 4,100mAHr battery) and an HDMI. In terms of sensors, it will not be left behind, having accelerometer, gyroscope, compass, proximity sensors, pressure, temperature and ambient light. Your aluminum housing will have a slot for external cameras or picoprojectors that can be connected via HDMI.

If you are interested in this tablet as a development platform, you can view the complete technical sheet and register to receive email notifications here. If, like me, you have not understood even half of the alphabet soup that are the specifications of this product, do not worry: sign that it is not for you.
