Telegram gained the possibility to create polls in groups and channels. The feature, available on Android phones and iPhone (iOS), is ideal for planning and making decisions about trips and socializing with your friends, for example. Initially, the votes are confidential and even the poll creator cannot find out who voted for the alternatives. In the future, the company will allow to set up polls with non-anonymous votes. It is worth remembering that the novelty is not found in rival WhatsApp.

The procedure for the Russian messenger was performed on an iPhone 8 with iOS 12, but the tips also apply to users of devices with Google system. Step 1. In Telegram, open the group in which you want to create the poll and tap on the paper clip icon. Then, go to "Poll";

Step 2. Write your question and add a maximum of 10 answer options. Once this is done, tap "Submit" in the upper right corner of the screen. You and the other members of the group can vote in the poll by tapping on the desired option;

Step 3. To end the vote, keep your finger pressed on the poll and tap "Stop Poll". Finally, select "Stop Poll" to confirm.
