The strategy that was defined with the launch of the TCL brand is the same: continue to provide smartphones with quality components at affordable prices. In April, Portugal launched the launch of the TCL 10 Pro and 10 L, and now reinforces with two more models, in price ranges that complement the brand's offer.
The focus on larger screens and photography continue to be part of TCL's DNA, as well as a design definition that extends across the entire line. Stefan Streit, Director General of Global Marketing at TCL Communication, highlights NXTVISION technology for screens and cameras, in a logic that TCL designates as Display Greatness, with optimization of color, quality of videos and adaptation to the environment to allow reading and viewing videos for a longer time.
But also in prices that TCL continues to differentiate, expanding the range of TCL 10 smartphones. The new TCL 10 Plus arrives in stores in two models, with prices below 400 euros, while the TCL 10 SE has a price below 250 euros . This despite the TCL 1o Plus having a Snapdragon 665 processor, 6.47-inch AMOLED screen and FHD +, almost without frame (93% screen ratio), fingerprint reader on the screen and four rear cameras, the main one being 48 MP.
"The most expensive equipment is in depression (with the context of COVID-19), people are more careful to spend their money and this is helping our equipment and our strategy", explains Stefan Streit, recalling the bet to bring to the market top features with affordable prices.
The bet is also being successful in Portugal and Patricia Cavalheiro Dias, responsible for TCL and Alcatel in Portugal, explained during an online press conference that this morning that the two brands have grown a lot in 2020. TCL 10 Plus and TCL 10 SE are now in stores
The TCL 10 Plus comes in a price range below the TCL 10 Pro and is available in two models, which are distinguished by their memory and storage capacity. The price of 399 and 349 euros and the 128 GB model can now be found in stores, while the 64 GB model is now starting to reach retailers.
The design and the 6.47-inch FHD + AMOLED screen, almost frameless (93% screen ratio), are the elements that capture the attention but also the integration of the fingerprint reader on the screen and the four rear cameras, the main one being 48 MP, they are differentiators in this price range. The 4500mAh battery has fast charging and reverse charging and can charge other equipment.
In TCL 10 SE the bet is also on a large screen, with 6.52 inches and a 20: 9 aspect ratio, but in this case the technology in AMOLED and the screen has more frame. The triple camera, the main one being 48 MP, and the fingerprint reader is at the rear. The public selling price is 249 euros.
TCL 10 5G arrives in August
Despite the delay in launching the 5G in Portugal, Patrcia Cavalheiro Dias explains that TCL will launch the TCL 10 5G model with an operator in August. Vodafone and the brand wanted to keep the date, so Portuguese consumers will be able to buy this equipment that TCL put at a price below 150 euros, as SAPO TEK had already mentioned.
At a conference from Shenzen, China, Stefan Streit also showed the rollout screen prototypes that TCL is developing and commented that the company's strategy will not be to launch flagship models with prices around 1000 euros in non-foldable models, but that there will still be news this year.
