Take a tour of the River Thames using Google Street View

Thames River is the first river in the United Kingdom to be mapped by the Google Street View service and allows users to view 360º panoramic images through Google Maps.

“The river offers some of the most beautiful and emblematic views of London and one of the best views the city has to offer, and we are excited to be able to take the Thames through Street View,” said Ed Parsons, geospatial technologist at Google Kingdom United.

To capture the images, Google used its Trekker equipment attached to a hydrographic survey ship, which traveled nearly 30 kilometers from Woolwich to Richmond. Click here to start your journey on the Thames.
