With Watch, Apple entered a new category of products, that of clothing (wearables). And, at least according to a survey by Juniper Research, it is now considered the most "Cool" in that segment.
After interviewing more than 2,000 smartphone users in the United States and the United Kingdom, the Juniper ranking was as follows:
- Apple
- Samsung
- LG
- Sony
- Nike
- Rolex
- UnderArmour
- TAG Heuer
- Ralph Lauren
- G-Shock
- Chanel
- Microsoft
- Motorola
- Adidas
- Omega
- Breitling
- Huawei
- Garmin
- Pebble
- Xiaomi
Juniper also found that one in five consumers would pay more than $ 175 for any wearable device and that technology brands are better viewed for this type of product than brands fashion or focused on sports equipment.
In between smartwatches, specifically, Juniper claims that once again (as well as on smartphones) a strong rivalry is creating between Apple and Samsung, with 75% of survey respondents citing just one or the other.
