Disclaimer: We’ve been treating the female iPad (“the iPad”), but Apple’s confirmation indicates that the new gadget should be referred to in the male or neutral gender, in the languages in which it fits (“Das iPad”, in German, for example). We will treat you this way, from now on.
As we reported here yesterday, the iPad follows the same path as other Apple gadgets with iPhone OS and does not support content based on Adobe's Flash Player plugin. However, the AppleInsider indicated that the company's marketing team made a mistake when preparing the gadget's promotional material, forgetting this detail when emphasizing its potential for web browsing.

Just as an example, see a capture of the special video recorded by Apple, which shows the iPad being used to navigate the home page of the American newspaper The New York Times notice the video player, right of the site sidebar:

Similarly, the same content not loaded on Mobile Safari on the iPod touch:

As can be seen, the images and videos of the iPad released by Apple are only illustrative renderings of their operation, with no basis in their actual behavior. That's a bad way to highlight what he can do, don't you think?
Update (1/30)
To avoid any kind of accusation about misleading advertising, for example, Apple promptly updated all images and videos on the iPad indicating the unavailability of Flash or exchanging screenshots for pages that do not require the plugin.
Here's an example:

That is, who still had hope that the Flash would come to the iPad, can take the horse out of the rain. At least for now.
