In order to have access to a digital card, students must be regularly enrolled in an educational institution and with their information included in the Brazilian Educational System (SEB), a unique and national database of students.

A representative from each educational institution, public or private, must send the student data to the National Institute of Educational Studies and Research Ansio Teixeira (Inep), which will feed SEB. it is necessary to inform the CPF, the date of birth, the course, the enrollment, the year and the semester of entry of the students.

With the information already registered in the database, the student can download the application and create the account. Student ID, which is validated by reading a QR Code, entitles you to half-price tickets to a series of cultural events.

The issue can be made for free, through an application available for Android and iPhone (iOS) phones. After downloading the app from the App Store or Google Play Store, students over 18 years old must take a photo of their face and of the National Driver's License (CNH) or of the Identity Card (RG) to compare the images. According to the government, the measure prevents fraud.

In the case of underage students, the legal guardian must download the app and allow the young person to have access. After that, students will be able to download the Student ID.

Who has the right card?

Student ID is valid for students of basic education (infantile, elementary and high school levels), technological and higher, with the exception of those enrolled in postgraduate courses Lato sensu and stricto sensu. Students enrolled in pre-entrance exams, language courses and the like are not entitled to the benefit.

With Student ID, students from all over the country will be able to pay half-price for shows, cinemas, theaters, exhibitions and other cultural events.

Students can check if the educational institution transferred the data to SEB on the ID Estudantil website (idestudantil.mec.gov.br). Just click on the button "Check if your educational institution has sent your data" and inform the state, municipality and name of the school or college. If they have not been registered, students must charge the shipping directly to the institution where they study.
