Do you need a really weird rumor to give a gas this boring Monday? Because you’ve come to the right place. According to Apple’s “trusted supply chain analysts”, heard by the MacRumors, Apple is getting ready to launch something in the next week. In “something”, read some physical product, be it a car or a paperweight or anything in between.
According to the sources on the site, who obviously preferred to remain anonymous, some ad will come out of 1 Infinite Loop between 20 and 24 march (that is, from Monday to Friday of next week), but it was not clear what mysterious product (or products) this will be.
Apparently, we have two options here: the first, and which was probably what you also thought when reading the paragraphs above, is something that has to do with the iPads. Even with Apple releasing new commercials for the current iPad Pro at every turn, an update to the Apple tablet line has been around for a long time, and an announcement next week would make perfect sense historically considering the period that Tim Cook and his gang prefer to update their iPads, almost always in March-April.
This possibility is reinforced by the news published today by the TechCrunch that new iPad models are being tested internally in Cupertino. According to the website, a marketing firm called Fiksu saw in its advertising reports the use of devices called iPad7,1 iPad7,2, iPad7,3 and iPad7,4 – the most recently launched models all have the digit 6 in the first home, showing products still in-house.
On the other hand, it must be considered that Apple would hardly launch a new line of iPads without holding an event to present them; in this case, the invitations to this keynote would have to come out in the next few days and so far we still have no indication in this regard.
The second possibility is that Apple is saving a minor release for next week, like some minor processor upgrade on a Mac or a new accessory – things that, in theory, would not require a launch event and could simply be announced on the your site. On second thought, this is the most likely option, but why not hope for the most exciting possibility, right?
