Steam's new Beta app brings news to the interface and in-app streaming
Steam owner Valve has been working on her app to bring users a better experience. These news and the like come first in the beta version of the app. Let's show some that we find interesting.
We can start with the way we see the app Steam. Before we had the Small Mode, which was no longer available and has now returned, respecting its separations of games by category and the like. See how it looked on my Steam.
To enable Compact Mode, you go to the Steam app, click View and then Compact Mode. Other enhancements and bug fixes have been implemented for this mode.
Another improvement was an update to vaapi decoding, with better compatibility with libva2. They also improve free disk space checking, especially with NFS-mounted drives.
Now one thing that really surprised me was the release of Steam Broadcasting through the application. Earlier, when you went to the Steam Broadcasting tab, a Steam Broadcasting message was not currently available for your operating system. But now it's available and you can stream your game within Steam and show that you can play on Linux.
The announcement of these news was made on the official Steam blog, which you can check here. This article does not end here, keep exchanging an idea there in our forum. Hope to see you next, a big hug.
