Stanford University updates its app development course to iOS 9

After a long time without news, the Stanford University started putting its newest app development course on iTunes U today Swift now updated to the iOS 9.

Updated to iOS 9 and Swift. Tools and APIs needed to build applications for the iPhone and iPad platforms using the iOS SDK. Design of user interfaces for mobile devices and unique interactions using multi-touch technologies. Object-oriented design using the paradigm model-view-controller, memory management, Swift programming language. Other topics include: animation, power management on mobile devices, multitasking, networks and performance considerations.

The course is all in English, but free. There are prerequisites to accompany you knowledge in C language and experience with object-oriented programming. Knowledge of UNIX, graphics and databases is also recommended.

Professor Paul Hegarty's first lesson is now live on iTunes U, and the following will be published gradually. It sounds a little strange when it arrives with WWDC 2016 already announced, but we still have two months ahead and what is learned will certainly remain totally current even in the face of the many new features that iOS 10 should bring us.
