Squoosh: Chrome's new tool lets you edit photos inside the browser | Editing and creation

Squoosh is an online app, created by the Google Chrome team, that allows you to edit photos on your computer without having to leave the browser. The tool offers features to compress the original file and other options, such as resizing the image, reducing colors and quickly adjusting the quality of the file.

When accessing the service, just drag an image into the browser and follow the changes in real time. The preview mode shows how the photo will look after editing is finished. Step 1. Access Squoosh and drag an image saved on the computer into the interface. You can also choose the image by accessing the PC file explorer by clicking on "Select an image";

Step 2. On the left side of the screen, click on "Original image" and choose a new type of extension for the image you want to compress;

Step 3. Click on the "Resize" option to view options to change the image size;

Step 4. Define the width (Width) and height (Height) of the image. The screen also allows you to define whether the aspect ratio of the original file will be maintained. At the bottom of the window, set the image quality by moving the blue pointer to the left (less quality) or to the right (more quality);

Step 5. The tool allows you to perform another compression configuration for the file on the right side of the screen. In both editing screens, click on the blue button at the bottom to download the modified image to your computer.
