Square Enix announces Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition for iOS and other platforms

It is happening right now, in Cologne (Germany), the gamescom 2017, one of the largest video game fairs in the world, with the participation of several gaming giants, such as Nintendo, Sony and Electronic Arts (EA).

And, among the several ads that are coming out of Europe, one of them draws attention to iOS users: Square Enix announced earlier today that the latest game in its legendary franchise Final Fantasy win a special version for Ma mobile devices and other platforms.

Final Fantasy XV: Pocket Edition not exactly the same game released for PS4 and Xbox One about a year ago instead, it is a “recount” of the story presented by that title, but with a totally different outfit and mechanics; the style of the new game is quite distinct, with caricatures and unclear scenarios (certainly to accommodate the complex story in a less powerful environment like that of older iPhones).

In terms of mechanics, the game replaces the traditional layout of buttons and analogue pointers with a totally touch-based interface, which could attract a wider audience which seems to be exactly the purpose with this release. In terms of price, the game will be divided into ten chapters, only the first of which is free; it is not yet known, however, how much each of the other segments will cost.

Square Enix claims that Final Fantasy XV: Pocket Edition will be released in the autumn of the northern hemisphere, that is, at any point between the end of September and mid-December. In addition to iOS, the title will be available for Android and Windows 10. Excited? O/
