What equincio? Understand meaning
Equincio is a celestial event that occurs when the Sun, in its apparent orbit, crosses the line of the Earth's equator projected on the celestial sphere. The term comes from Latin: the prefix "equi" means equal, j "nox" means night. In other words, I equate the period of the year when day and night have an equal duration of 12 hours.
There are two types of equincio: the one of autumn and the one of spring. In the southern hemisphere, the fall equinox takes place in March, while the spring equinox in September. In the northern hemisphere the dates are reversed.
