Sources corroborate possibility of a new low-cost iPad being launched at next week's event [atualizado: Apple Pencil]

Four days from now, we will have the first special Apple event in 2018 focused on education and held, exceptionally, in a high school in the city of Chicago (Illinois, United States).

In addition to new software focused on education to complement the existing ones, everything indicates even by the very time of year that we will see around the launch of new iPads. And sources of Bloomberg directly corroborate this possibility.

According to information obtained by the boy Mark Gurman, Apple is preparing to launch a new low-cost iPad targeting mainly schools / universities. In recent years, Apple has lost much of that market to Google's Chromebooks and some tablets running Android, in addition to a piece also being snapped up by Microsoft.

However, there are no details on how to be this iPad. The entry model nowadays is the 9.7 inch, which in its 32GB Wi-Fi version costs US $ 329 in the United States or R $ 2,499 here in Brazil. It has an A9 processor, lower cameras than the Pro models and is not compatible with Apple Pencil or Smart Keyboard.

THE Bloomberg It also mentions, in its report, that we should see this year (but hardly in the event of next week) a new MacBook “of less than US $ 1,000” to replace the current entry models of the MacBook Air as we bet on this other article, recently.

We'll know for sure soon! 😉

Update 03/23/2018 s 14:50

According to a note released today to investors by KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, most likely the new low-cost iPads will gain support for Apple Pencil.

Gurman himself also bet on this:

Looking at the event's invitation, we also have an indication that Pencil will be one of its central focuses. And let a new version of the pencil come along! 😉
