Since the announcement of the partnership between Waze and Ford at Mobile World Congress 2017, we have worked hard to optimize and evolve the experience for the driver community. We are happy to show our partnership with Ford through the AppLink SDL on iOS, an in-car navigation experience that connects Waze navigation to your car console. With SDL, Waze guidance is displayed on the driver's car screen and new features are made available as soon as they are launched. With SDL, drivers get the most up-to-date version of Waze with all the new features and design launches, as if they were driving with Waze on their phone.

The launch should happen in the coming weeks, contemplating (as we said above) vehicles equipped with SYNC 3 version 3.0 or higher in Brazil, only the cars Ecosport, Fiesta, Focus and Fusion (all 2018). For cars equipped with older versions of SYNC 3, Ford has promised to make an update available to enable this feature in the future (no specific date).
