The Sony NW-A100TPS Walkman special edition will feature a logo printed in celebration of the 40th anniversary. To further honor nostalgia, the 40-year edition also has a unique cassette interface for those who want to listen to music in this kind of media.
The Android-powered Walkman features an S-Master HX digital amplifier for high resolution audio and distortion reduction. The model's processor is a DSEE HX to enhance compressed audio, but it also has a vinyl processor to give digital tracks the quality of vinyl, according to the company. Battery life can be up to 26 hours.
In connection, the new commemorative model of the Walkman has a USB-C port. The estimated sales value of the Sony NW-A100TPS Walkman and its release date have not yet been officially announced by the brand. The models are expected to hit the market in November, still without predicting when it might hit the Brazilian market.
According to Sony, they will also make available a cheaper version of the Walkman, but without the 40th anniversary mark. The most affordable version without the special seal is the Sony NW-A105 Walkman model.
