Snapchat stories will be able to be shared directly in other applications

Not as popular as Instagram stories, Snapchat stories will now be shared directly on other apps. Snap launched Snapchat App Stories and, from now on, developers can add this new feature to their apps.

After the company announced in 2019 that its stories would be able to be published on Tinder, something that did not happen, the strategy is now extended to more applications. In this initial phase, the first partners will allow publishing stories in the dating app Hily or, for example, in the video-based social network, Triller.

this is how the social network prevents competition from "imitating" the functionality of the stories it launched in 2013, as it can now be directly integrated into several apps. As soon as they capture a photo or record a video, users will have several sharing options. Contrary to what happens on Snapchat, with stories being available for 24 hours, in other cases, Internet users may have access to the content for seven days.

To Techcrunch, Ben Schwerin, vice president of partnerships at Snap, guarantees that "there are certain platforms that want to invest in creating their own stories, but that requires resources and time". Now, the expert believes that the company can help in this regard.

At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Snap wants to encourage the population to stay at home through an app. The Zenly application was recently reinvented and now shows how many days in a row that your friends are at home, in a competitive way, with the winner being those who manage to stay out of the street for the longest time.
