This new feature on Snapchat is made possible by an agreement between the social network and Bitmoji which, as the name suggests, is responsible for the development of the emoji in question. Snapchat introduced the Memories function, which challenges the app's entire purpose of distributing content such as photos, videos, and more, over a period of time.
The new feature allows users to record their snaps and be able to keep them indefinitely. This allows them to republish it when they feel the need. Until now, it was only possible to save your snaps on the device itself, and it was not possible to republish them.
