Skype Web has a new feature that lets you record conversations without having to install anything on your computer. Through the online platform it is possible to enable recording to capture video and audio of calls made or received by the user. Later, the content can be played within Skype itself or downloaded as a video or audio file to the computer. Step 1. Sign in to Skype Web (web.skype) in your browser and sign in using your Microsoft account.

Step 2. Start an audio or video call with a Skype contact. If you are using Skype Web for the first time, your browser may ask for permission to access your computer's microphone and camera.

Step 3. With the call already in progress, click the plus symbol button and select the Start Recording option. Call participants will be notified that the conversation is being recorded.

Step 4. You will see a recording counter at the top of the call screen. Beside, Skype shows a button to cancel the recording at any time. Capture is also automatically terminated as soon as the connection ends.

Step 5. Right after the end of the call or the manual end of recording, Skype sends the video (or only audio if the call was voice only) on the chat screen. The user who initiated the recording and all members of the recorded call have access to the content for 30 days within Skype.

Step 6. To download the material and access it without restriction, click the menu next to the message and select Save to Downloads.
