Skype Alpha

Skype Alpha now has the ability to chat for audio and video on Linux as well, but with a limitation, this only works between Skype Alpha for Linux users, which somewhat limits things, but indicates that work is being done to improve the product.

As I commented recently in another post, Microsoft would be working on a new solution for Skype that would be multiplatform called Skype for Life, and the Linux version would be the core of this project today. This version of Skype would save development time as it would work on many different devices and regardless of operating system. Want to try Skype's new alpha for Linux?
