Microsoft launches new version of Skype for Linux

Today Microsoft has released an update of Skype for Linux, the messenger that despite owning it is a good option for instant communication and is used by many companies with loyal users around the world.

According to Microsoft, the new Skype 4.2 for Linux has three bug fixes that hindered users with their webcams and audio issues.

Download and install Skype 4.2 on Ubuntu and Linux Mint

You can download the Skype package for your distro via the link below, but be aware if you already have old Skype installed (4.1), before you need to remove it, then just install it normally. To remove old Skype faa on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove skype skype-bin

Soon it should reach repositories of some distros, for now you just have to download it from the link below: Note: For Ubuntu 64-bit users you need to install another library package primarily, you can download lib from the Ubuntu program center via this link.
