In addition to the attractive price, the service also has a collection advantage over its main rival, Netflix. According to a survey by video search engine Reelgood, Amazon’s solution has an almost four times larger catalog of films and about 17% wider in terms of series – being a subscriber, therefore, can be worthwhile. Those who already subscribed to Prime Video can get a reduction in the monthly fee when migrating to Amazon Prime, a benefits package that includes the collection of films and series and adds other benefits, such as e-books, music and free shipping on site purchases. . The company has already started sending e-mails to users advising them of automatic migration, but if you have not yet received the notification, it is okay to make the change on your own. To do this, simply register manually in the new service. When making the exchange, the price of the plan drops from R $ 14.90 to R $ 9.90.

The parental control tool allows you to set a password to release content for a specific age group. The code may be required, for example, when trying to access films and series with an age rating of 18 years. Here’s how to define:

Step 3. In the sequence, two access controls will be enabled. In one of them, determine the type of content that will be released to everyone (in green) and what will require the PIN to watch (in gray, with padlock);

Step 4. Further down, choose which devices should have the restriction configured at the moment. Check devices for family use, such as TVs and tablets, and dispense with the use of passwords, for example, on your cell phone.

3. Authorize and revoke devices
Amazon allows up to three simultaneous plays with the same account. If the streaming is of the same title, the limitation falls to up to two devices at the same time. The service is compatible with cell phones, tablets, media centers, browsers, smart TVs, Blu-ray players, among others, as long as they are authorized in the settings. 4. Discover extra content
Some Prime Video films and series feature X-Ray, a feature that provides easy access to cast details and extra content.
Step 1. When playing a video, check if there is, in the upper left corner, a button for X-Ray and select the option;

Step 3. In “Scenes”, it is possible to browse specific parts of the content – it helps to get straight to an important point when reviewing an episode of your favorite series;

Step 4. In «Music», Prime Video shows the songs that make up the soundtrack. Although it does not allow play on the track, it is possible to know the names of the singer and the composition, in addition to accessing the specific scene in which she plays.

5. Streaming on Chromecast
The end of the fight between Amazon and Google in 2019 allowed Prime Video to finally become compatible with Chromecast. With this, users of the service can transmit content from the cell phone to the TV even if it is not smart, as long as the device running a version of Chrome is connected to the HDMI port. The operation is similar to that of other apps, such as Netflix: when connecting via Wi-Fi with the device, the Amazon Prime of the smartphone turns into a remote control.

Unlike Netflix, Amazon doesn’t charge more to access 4K content. Any subscriber can watch in this format, as long as the app is on a compatible device, such as smart TVs or conventional TVs with a Chromecast Ultra or Fire TV Stick 4K.
