Six people arrested for making fraudulent Apple Store purchases in the United States

Six New Yorkers were arrested in the United States for trying to make fraudulent purchases at the Apple Store, Deer Park, near Chicago. According to the Chicago Tribune, they were accused of belonging to a "criminal organization" that tried to carry out fraudulent transactions in various stores in Ma around the area.

Christopher Covelli, the sheriff's spokesman, explained that he received information last week that the group whose members are 18 to 41 years old disembarked at O'Hare International Airport, rented a car and headed straight for Apple Stores. Soon after receiving this information, the authorities conducted an investigation which revealed that the suspects were using stolen credit cards and identities.

From Wednesday to Sunday, the six people tried to shop at the Deer Park store, each going on a different time and day. The police went into action and managed to arrest the criminals and recover around $ 10,000 on Apple products.

Covelli said that this type of crime commonly occurs with people outside the state.
