The last service update added new commands to the dialog menu that opens with the right mouse click on a message. Quick shortcuts make different activities in Gmail faster. You can, for example, postpone an email, search for emails from a specific sender, change the folder or category conversation, open the message in another browser tab, among other functions.

This tip is true for those who use labels to organize their emails. Dragging the category icon from an email to another label will automatically change the category in that message. The service will also ask if you want all emails from that sender to be added to the new category, saving time.

You can configure Gmail to send notifications of just a few specific emails, avoiding unwanted alerts at all times. The feature works in the browser and in the iOS and Android versions of the app. To do so, go to the "Notifications" section within the email settings. Then set whether you want to receive notifications of all incoming mail, those marked as high priority, or no new messages.

If you are tired of using only the yellow star to highlight your favorite emails, you can add new colors to the icon in the web version. To do this, press the gear icon in the inbox and go to Settings. Then in the General section, find the Stars field and drag any icons you want to the In Use tab. In addition to the colored stars, icons with exclamation, interrogation and other symbols are also available. To use the new colors, simply click the star icon in an email repeatedly until you find the option you want.

5. Automatically save attachments to Google Drive

With just one click, you can save attachments directly to Google Drive. The feature is useful for rogue cloud service users and also to avoid overloading files in computer memory. To upload, simply tap the Google Drive icon that appears over each attachment on the web and Android. On iPhone, I need to open the file to find the cloud save button. On all platforms, the upload is done immediately, but on the computer you can still choose the folder where the file will be saved.

Gmail has integration with Google Translate and lets you translate any message in the web version. To do this, tick the three dots icon to open the menu, and then select the Translate message option. If the system does not identify the source language, you can configure it manually as well as the language in which the message will be translated. The procedure is done within Gmail itself and does not require the installation of extensions or opening other pages in the browser.
