ProtonMail is a security-focused service and has an interface that combines ease of use with simplicity. There is web version and apps for Android and iPhone (iOS) mobile phones, all with technology that prevents the collection of your IP and keeps encrypted communications from end to end, such as WhatsApp. Although it is a paid service, there is a free version that offers 500 MB of storage and a daily limit of 150 messages, which may be sufficient if you do not receive as many emails.

Although very popular among Mac and iPhone users, iCloud Mail can also be used by those who have never owned an Apple device. It is possible to access the service through the computer's browser and create an @ icloud account to use even on a Windows PC. In addition to the data security offered by the company, iCloud email does not display advertisements and offers very useful keyboard shortcuts to control actions without the need for a mouse. Its weak point is the absence of markers to organize the content.

Tutanota (tutanota) is an end-to-end encrypted and open code email service. According to the developers, the technology used individually protects the subject line, the content and all attachments of the email, in addition to the catalog of addresses, rules and filters of the inbox and the search history.
The security layer is created with symmetric and asymmetric encryption, depending on which service the other side of the conversation is using. The free version includes 1 GB of storage, an address with the domain and access to the inbox on the web and in apps for iPhone and Android phones.

FastMail (fastmail) does not have such a modern interface and, precisely for that reason, it can attract users dissatisfied with the new Gmail. The service is known mainly for its speed of operation and for bringing useful functions. It offers customizable spam filtering, grouping messages and pinning important emails at the top. In addition, there are no advertisements on the interface. The service, however, is paid and only offers 30 days of free use.

Despite being focused on business needs, Zoho Mail (zoho/pt-br/mail) can also be a valid alternative for those who need an individual email service. It has a well-designed computer application, but its main positive point is the inclusion of Zoho Office in the package.
If you decide to subscribe to the service, it is possible to have access to document editing applications, spreadsheets and slide shows, password protected sharing, cloud storage and several other apps. The price is lower than that charged for the most popular services, such as the Microsoft Office Package.

Microsoft's email service works for any email address, including that of Gmail if you still don't want to discard your account. The main advantage of this option is the integration with Windows 10 on the computer. Notifications arrive on the right panel of the system, and it is possible to share various contents stored on the desktop by email by clicking on the items with the right mouse button.
