Site casts doubt on possible arrival of “Apple Watch 2” at a special event in March [atualizado]

Just over a month ago, a hot rumor pointed to the possibility that the Apple Watch 2 be launched at a special event to be held by Ma in March. This must still happen, but today the editor-in-chief of the TechCrunch, Matthew Panzarino, cast doubt on the second generation of the Apple watch to be announced at the time.

Panzarino claims to have consulted "multiple sources" who do not see the arrival of a new Apple Watch already in March. One of them is analyst Ben Bajarin, of Creative Strategies, who observed absolutely no movement in Apple's supply chain that would indicate a launch of this product soon; according to him, if the schedule were the same, large production orders would have already been placed.

The editor also believes that a new generation of Apple Watch would have to come with a major software update to keep up with their hardware news, so that the same thing does not happen with the iPad Pro that after the launch, developers were able to start working. in apps to take advantage of its features.

The original article doesn't mention it, but an Apple Watch 2 in March would also be awkward considering it hasn't been that long since Apple released new colors from its watch. In addition, she has just brought China a new special edition on account of the New Year.

If Apple does announce the second generation of Apple Watch in the second half of the year, it could be about two years after the original product announcement. It is true that it only arrived on the market months later, in April 2015, but we will still have a large space between the two versions. As this is an entirely new product line, we still don't know exactly what Apple's update plan is; it can be either more or less annual, as it happens in other lines.

Considering the Apple Watch outside the supposed March event, which is left over from the rumored new 4-inch iPhone, a possible iPad Air 3 and perhaps updates on Macs (there is even talk of new MacBooks Air for now).

Panzarino updated the original article citing the possibility of Apple launching a "small update" of the Apple Watch with the inclusion of a FaceTime camera, but nothing much more than that, for example, a change in the design of its housing.

He does not yet know when that might happen, exactly.

Of all the future news that the Apple Watch could win, at least for me a camera is among the least exciting / necessary.
