Since 2008, Apple has paid more than $ 70 billion to app developers

Apple announced today, days before the start of the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2017, who has already paid more than $ 70 billion to developers since their App Store opened in 2008.

The company also revealed that in the past 12 months, downloads of apps and games in the store have grown more than 70%.

People everywhere love apps and our consumers are downloading them in record numbers. Seventy billion dollars earned by developers is simply unbelievable. Apple's press release also reveals an annual growth of 58% in paid subscriptions on the App Store, 70% in lifestyle, health and fitness apps, and 90% in the category Photo and video. The categories Games and Entertainment they are, of course, the ones that most earn revenue for developers.

The App Store operates today in 155 countries and has millions of apps divided into 25 different categories.
