cone - Sleep Timer

Recently, we gave tips here on the website on how to override OS X settings and leave your Mac up for a certain period. Many of you must also remember, and even use, an old utility called Caffeine.

Today's tip Sleep Timer, created by Rainy Cape. Quite simple, this app runs on the OS X menu bar and offers a menu for those who want / need to schedule their Mac to sleep.

great for when you're watching a movie or a series, for example, or maybe letting your Mac finish downloading something, the Sleep Timer menu allows you to set your computer to sleep for 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes or 1 hour. When the time for scheduling arrives, a notification appears allowing it to be canceled or delayed (if necessary).

The free Sleep Timer, requires OS X 10.10 Yosemite or higher, and can be downloaded here.
