Sidefari puts two websites side by side on iPads using iOS 9 Split View

Since iOS 9 came out with the feature Split View on iPad Air 2, iPad mini 4 and now also iPad Pro, some users miss the possibility of placing two Safari “windows” side by side. That's because you can only choose a different app to use with multitasking.

So far, the alternative for those who wanted to browse two sites simultaneously was to use Safari and some other browser, such as Chrome. Because developer MacRecon saw an opportunity in this and launched the Sidefari.

With this app, you basically emulate a second Safari (using the Safari View Controller native to iOS) alongside the original, optimized for multitasking. With an extension for the sharing sheet, you can even send any link from Safari to Sidefari, with the history of websites accessed also always by hand.

Of course, it is possible to use the split screen exactly in half (as in the screenshot above) or to have Safari occupy two thirds of it as you prefer. It is worth noting that Sidefari is not a complete browser, so it is not possible for example to open multiple website tabs on it.
