With the rapid advance of the disease in Brazil, many companies, universities and schools have been sending employees and students home with the aim of stopping the spread of COVID-19.
A good way to fill your spare time on pandemic days is to study online.

Some Brazilian institutions, such as FGV, USP and Sebrae, even offered free online courses in areas such as management, marketing, finance and entrepreneurship temporarily.
Renowned international universities also offer options for those who want to study for free on the Internet: this is the case with Harvard and MIT.

With over 50 free courses, the Fundação Getúlio Vargas website is aimed at people who want to learn about management, business strategy, marketing, finance and related areas.
Classes are of short and medium duration, with a workload ranging from five to 15 hours.

For students who want to further their studies, FGV informs the bibliographic references that support the course.
The Foundation does not issue diplomas for the free teaching modality, but a certificate of participation, which will be available to participants who reach the minimum grade in the final exam.

Considered one of the best higher education institutions in the country, the University of São Paulo (USP) offers 16 free online courses.
«Creation of startups», «Digital Marketing» and «UX / UI: Fundamentals for interface design» are some of the titles available on the university’s Coursera platform.
The completion of classes, which are taught by doctors and post-doctors from USP, entitles you to the issue of a certificate, but you must pay a fee of US $ 29.

Senai (eadsenaies.com.br)
Famous for the professional courses it offers in its on-site units, Senai (National Service for Industrial Learning) also has a distance education front.
The institution offers more than 15 free courses on topics such as finance, business communication and entrepreneurship.
There are also professional initiation classes in Workplace Safety, Architectural Design and Information Technology.

The courses have an average duration of 12 hours and some of them are self-instructional.
This means that the contents are self-explanatory and there is no chat, discussion forums or teachers.
To issue the certificate of completion, the student needs to make a final assessment and obtain a certain percentage of correct answers, which varies according to the course.

Sebrae (Brazilian Micro and Small Business Support Service) offers more than 100 courses in areas such as entrepreneurship, market and sales, people management and legislation.
The classes, whose workload ranges from 2 to 40 hours, are taught by tutors who guide discussions on the topics studied.
The student must complete the course within the maximum time stipulated by the system.
At the end of the studies, it is possible to issue a certificate of participation.

Fundação Bradesco’s Virtual School is one of the most respected free distance education platforms in the country.
The site offers more than 80 courses in the areas of Administration, Accounting and Finance, Computer Science, Personal and Professional Development and Pedagogy.

A differential of the Virtual School is the offer of study guides, that is, groupings of courses on similar themes, to provide the student with a broader training in specific subjects.
Classes last, on average, ten hours.
Students who complete the course with at least 70% success are able to print a certificate.
Depending on the faculty, the document may be used as proof of complementary activity.

Perestroika, a school of creative methodologies, decided to make one of its courses available for free during the quarantine period.

Recognized worldwide for excellence in teaching, Harvard University offers hundreds of free online courses in areas ranging from law, literature, history and statistics to data science and programming.
As all classes are taught in English, it is important to understand the language well.
