See if your iPhone will receive the update with iOS 14 (and when)

Update from iOS 14 to the iPhone to bring widgets, application libraries, news for Siri and more; find out if and when your device receives the update

Presented last week, during WWDC 2020, the iOS 14 bring many undue resources to the iPhone: in addition to supporting widgets on the home screen, the system also presented a new way of organizing its applications, new memojis, now with masks (!), the possibility to change the standard e-mail or browser and many other new features. As with any update of this size, users are eager to know which iPhone models will receive the update and, especially, When.

Fortunately, updating has always been a strength of the iOS and, again, the new system reaches even old devices, like the iPhone 6S it's the first iPhone SE. Even though they were released almost 5 years ago, both will receive the stable version of iOS 14 at the same time as the other most recent iPhones, that is, between the months of September and October 2020, during the arrival of autumn in the northern hemisphere.

See if your iPhone gets the update with iOS 14 (and when) In addition to widgets, iOS 14 has an application library that automatically arranges items (right)

Until then, those who cannot contain their curiosity will be able to install a beta verse of the system. So far, only developers can test the version presented at WWDC, but it is expected that in July Apple will release the public beta iOS 14 for any user who wants to test it. It is worth remembering, however, that software in beta is a test version and, therefore, usually presents bugs, including inconsistencies in battery usage and performance.

Therefore, we recommend caution when installing the beta version of iOS 14 on your main iPhone, mainly because to return to iOS 13, if necessary, you need to resort to iTunes and restore a backup your device.
