After a long hiatus, the Mac mini was updated by Apple a little over a year ago and arrived in Brazil at the beginning of December last year. Yeah, time flies …
Now, the accessory manufacturer Satechi just launched a hub which is also a kind of stand for the Mac mini, and basically turns it into a “Mac mini Pro”.
This one (under the Mac mini, of course) is the Type-C Aluminum Stand & Hub, which costs a modest $ 80:
The idea of hub is to put in the user’s hands, directly in front, a series of useful ports in their daily routine: we have readers for SD and microSD memory cards, a 3.5mm output for headphones, three USB 3.0 ports (type A) and a USB-C – all of which support data transfers at up to 5Gbps.
At the rear, discreetly, the Type-C Aluminum Stand & Hub connects to the Mac mini via a very short USB-C cable. As such, it is in fact only compatible with the Mac mini released in 2018.
The accessory is available for sale both on the Satechi website and on American Amazon.
