Samsung unveils update plan for Android 4.1 Jelly Bean

Samsung has announced that it will finally release the update for Android 4.1 Jelly Bean to consumers of the Galaxy S III starting today, The Verge published.

Although the update is scheduled to take place in several locations around the world at the same time, the execution plan will "vary according to the requirements of the markets and their wireless operators."

Samsung has also apparently provided a list of 15 additional devices that will receive updates from Jelly Bean in the future.

The devices listed are 10 cell phones and four tablets, such as: Galaxy S II, Galaxy Note, Advance Galaxy S, Galaxy S II LTE, Galaxy Chat, Galaxy Ace 2, Galaxy Beam, Galaxy Ace Plus, Galaxy Mini 2, Galaxy S Duos , Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, Galaxy Note 10.1.

In Brazil, Samsung remains behind on updating the Galaxy X (the national version of the Galaxy Nexus) by keeping the device on Android 4.0.4 version (ICS).
