Samsung Galaxy Z Flip arrived, saw and sold out in Portuguese stores

The new foldable smartphone from Samsung, the Galaxy Z Flip arrived in Portugal on February 21st, and less than a week later, the manufacturer reported that the equipment has already run out. Samsung did not reveal how many units it managed to place on the Portuguese market, available in the brand's online and physical stores, as well as in the three main operators (MEO, Vodafone and NOS).

With a price of 1.529 euros, the Portuguese market was not the only one where the equipment sold out. Also in the United States, Spain, France and Switzerland, the available units have disappeared from stores.

During the past few months, Samsung has focused on the development of a new foldable device that will ensure the best mobile experience for the consumer, and this has resulted in the newly launched Galaxy Z Flip. We know that national consumers like news when it comes to technology and this is reflected in the increasing number of sales of this type of devices, highlights Jos Correia, Director of Mobile Product Samsung Ibria.

The smartphone features a 6.7 inch screen and was launched in three colors: mirror purple, mirror black and mirror gold (the latter did not reach the national market). In the box you can also find the data cable, travel adapter, a transparent cover and USB-C earphones with AKG technology.

The model has a double camera, with a 12 MP ultra wide angle and another 12 MP wide angle. The selfie camera has 10 MP and, when it comes to memory, it has 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of internal storage. The equipment has a double battery of 3,300 mAh.

You can use your smartphone at different angles, such as placing it on a table at 90 degrees so you can see video content. On the small external screen you can read notifications and other minimalist information, such as the time and date, and the battery status, in addition to answering calls. It has the first punch-hole system in a foldable smartphone, the so-called "Flex Mode".

It should be recalled that, although it only affects the South Korean market, the Coronavirus forced the manufacturer to close its production plant in the city of Gumi, South Korea. The closure will affect the production of the Galaxy Fold and the Z Flip. The decision came after it was confirmed that one of his factory employees had been infected with Coronavirus.
