Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime Duos Vs. Asus Zenfone 5 vs. LG Volt: Specs Comparison
Galaxy Gran Prime Duos Vs. Zenfone 5 vs. LG Volt: Design and Construction
The Galaxy Gran Prime Duos closely resembles the Galaxy S5, as does the Galaxy Win 2 Duos. The device finish is made of smooth polycarbonate throughout, only the rear has a slightly ceramic touch. The device is not a masterpiece of design, but at least it does not have features inspired by other devices. The handling of the Galaxy Gran Duos Prime is pleasant, and its polycarbonate finish gives the model good ergonomics.
The Asus device has a soft-touch finish with protruding edges, and a brushed aluminum plate positioned at the bottom of the device. The ergonomics when handling the device is optimal, but the use of both hands is essential. Zenfone 5 is vastly larger than the Galaxy Gran Prime Duos, yet its finer finish.
The Galaxy Gran Prime Duos runs on Android KitKat 4.4.4 and TouchWiz user interface. The device does not yet have an update forecast for Android Lollipop, but it seems that this should happen soon. The RAM consumption caused by Samsung's proprietary interface is still high, and some slowness is noted during the usability of the device.
Galaxy Gran Duos Prime Vs. Zenfone 5 vs. LG Volt: Performance
The Zenfone 5 packaged by the 1.2GHZ dual-core Intel Atom Z2560 processor and 2GB of RAM. The dual-core processor used in Zenfone 5 has its merits, mainly through the use of Intel Hyper-Threading Technology. The technology uses processor resources more efficiently, allowing multiple threads to run on each core. Core virtualization optimizes processor productivity, improving battery consumption and overall software performance. In fact, the device has an above average performance even after upgrading to Android Lollipop.
The LG Volt (H4220) packaged by the 1.3GHz quad-core Mediatek MT6582 processor and 1GB of RAM. The graphics are processed through the Mali 400 GPU, capable of rotating titles like Sonic Dash, Angry Birds and Aslphalt 8 with reduced special effects. Android Lollipop 5.0.1 runs without delays or freezes on the LG Volt, there is a slight delay while opening the app drawer.
The Galaxy Gran Prime Duos is packaged by the 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM. The graphics are processed by the GPU Adreno 206, capable of rotating various titles available on the Play Store. The usability of the system is not compromised, and only minor delays are noted during the transition of interface effects.
