Samsung renewed its A series smartphone line, more specifically with the launch of the A71 and A51 models, with the priority of updating them with 5G technology. It is a more accessible range than the Galaxy S and Note Gamma tops, but with some premium features. The smartphones feature the so-called Infinity-O screen, with a four-chamber module and a battery that promises to be more durable for the requirements of the equipment.
The Galaxy A51 5G features a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED screen, while the slightly larger A71 with 6.7 inches. In addition to being designed for consumption, and the possibility of recording videos at 4K, gaming was also considered, in this case with the introduction of the Game Booster system, which through AI eliminates background applications that are not necessary for higher performance of games. Both models offer a 4,500 mAh battery, powered by 25 W fast charging for the A71 and 15 W on the A51.
Regarding the cameras, the A71 has a main lens of 64 MP and the A51 one of 48 MP, supported by a wide angle of 12 MP, a macro sensor of 5 MP and a depth lens of 5 MP. The 32 MP selfie camera. They also promise to stabilize video images, using the Super Steady Video system.
Inside, the equipment features configurations of up to 128 GB of internal storage, expandable to 1 TB through MicroSD. The A71 has 8 GB of RAM and the A51 has 6 GB.
Each model has three colors, the only one being Prisma Black. The Galaxy A71 model also has the Prisma Gray and Blue Prism, while the A51 also has the White Prism and Pink Prism.
In addition to the Knox security system, for sharing files and data securely, both devices benefit from Samsung applications and services, including the Bixby virtual assistant, Samsung Pay and Samsung Health.
Samsung did not reveal the price and launch date of the new equipment with 5G, but in the space of four months, this is the second renewal of the Galaxy A51 and A71 range.
In January, the standard models without 5G were launched. The Galaxy A51 is available in Portugal in black, blue and white at a price of 399.90 euros, while the Galaxy A71 has the same colors, except white which is replaced by gray, at a cost of 499.90 euros.
