1. Leave the cell phone unprotected without antivirus and with the operating system outdated
One of the first security recommendations is to always have an antivirus installed on the cell phone and to update the operating system whenever possible. These measures ensure better protection against malicious programs and viruses. In addition, it is not recommended to download programs, music or even pirated movies, as they can compromise the functions of the device by not knowing the real origin of the system. It is also worth checking the websites that are being used and checking if you have the letters https and a lock on the left before the link, which indicates that the page is secure.

2. Download apps without checking user comments
It is suggested that the user always check the comments and ratings of any app before downloading it. This helps to reduce the risk of fraud and even internal attacks on the smartphone. Always be wary of links with promotions sent by unknown numbers through WhatsApp, SMS or e-mails, in addition to not exposing personal information in online games, chats and relationship apps. To appreciate your privacy more and more, you are advised to use the two-step verification method, which complicates possible scams by fraudsters.
3. Use public Wi-Fi to access bank applications
Avoid shopping or banking transactions over public Wi-Fi as much as possible. In addition to the risk of damaging your money and the personal data provided to the bank, the imposter can make transactions using the information obtained in the application. If it is inevitable to use the shared network, it is recommended that you install a VPN app or virtual private software that practically makes it impossible to access your data on the Internet on your cell phone or computer.

4. Use physical credit card when shopping online
Another valuable suggestion is to try to use prepaid or virtual credit cards to shop online. That's because the damage will be less if any data is leaked by hackers. Before obtaining any product from a store, it is worth checking if the company has a valid CNPJ, telephone, address and company name, which are information that must be made available to customers, according to the law. In addition, it is always important to look for site assessments on complaint sites and, if possible, do not leave your card details saved in online stores.

5. Reveal personal information on social networks and relationship apps
Social networks are the place where users most express opinions, information about life and even the places where they are. For this reason, these posted contents are often clues to intruders, as they may come to know home addresses, telephones, dates of birth, documents in general and, even worse, to know the public places that the person frequents. However, it is possible to manage the privacy settings of the networks and search engines used, and through this, it is possible to filter the access and use of data by companies, which makes it difficult for malicious people to act.
