A few weeks ago, when we covered a rumor about the "IPhone 7" maybe get a new dark blue color, I wrote:
What melted the rumor was that they said it would come to * replace * space ash (space gray), which makes no sense to me considering that it is possibly the most popular of all.
Well, behold, the same Japanese website MACBlog came back today in the statement and not only said that the space gray go on, how to earn a darker shade this year.
Remember that even the iPhone 5 we had a really black model, in English called “Black and slate”.

With the change in hue, I wouldn't be surprised if Apple started calling the color “space black” ("Space black") as it already does with an Apple Watch model.
